plural noun Military objects having historical interest.
With over a decade's experience in making, wearing and fighting in various types of armour we are well aware of the stresses placed upon both armour and people alike through its use - and abuse!
The creation of a bespoke piece of armour is an incredibly exciting process. For many this will be their one and only experience of commissioning an armourer working with traditional materials and techniques. We seek to involve you as much as possible; carrying out meticulous research into historical commissions long before any work takes place, including comparison with any known extant pieces from the period, compilation of as many differing images of the piece as possible and, where able, first hand examination of a piece.
From this initial research we ensure you are kept up to date and advised on areas that may require particular focus or deviations from the original in order to meet your requirements or achieve a workable reproduction. Regular correspondence means you remain involved throughout, from research to finished item.
Due to the bespoke nature of most armour, it is rare that we hold any stock, however the links to the right show some examples of previous work.
If your requirements are not historical we will happily to discuss creating original pieces for anything you are considering. The workshop will realise the design with the desired look, coupled with the experience of real world equipment to fully create a working, wearable version of your item.
